Let me introduce myself: I am John Bryson, the current pastor of the Billings & Bridger Seventh-day Adventist Churches. My wife, Joan and I have been married since 1977. Since that time, we have been blessed with four sons, three of whom have graduated from Walla Walla University, the youngest a current student there. Our two oldest sons were both married in 2009 and we now have two daughters-in-law and two grandsons. I graduated from Pacific Union College with a major in theology in 1977. In 1981 I graduated from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University with a Master of Divinity degree.
Then, in 2010, I received a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University with an emphasis in the area of youth leadership. We have served as a pastor in churches of the Northern California Conference and the Idaho Conference from 1977–1978 and 1981–2008. For the past four years, I have been the chaplain and Bible teacher at Gem State Adventist Academy in Caldwell, Idaho. From 1999 to 2012, I have also been serving as coordinator for senior youth ministries for the Idaho Conference. Joan and I believe in God's present activity and guidance in our lives. There is no doubt in our minds that God has led us here to Montana and we are excited to watch God's continuing power in not only our lives, but in the lives of our church members.
